Character Biography: Descended from Harris the knight of Grey Garden, second son to Lord Harlaw of Harlaw, Leman was born and raised ironborn. He loved to fight and wrestle as a child, and became interested in ships and shipbuilding soon after. Eschewing the typical fighting style of his people, Leman developed a rather unorthodox style revolving around a 4 clawed gauntlet he used to great effect. He was drowned twice in his youth, once as a babe, then truly before he received his first command. After he turned 18, he earned the right to captain his own ship, the Grey Horse, and sailed far away, to the free cities across the narrow sea. He loved, fought, was betrayed and learned much in trade and the language of the Free Cities. Leman returns older and wiser, but still hungers for glory. He is a father to his men and a scourge to his enemies. Now he mostly hunts pirates around Blackwater bay. He has not seen the Iron Islands in more than 16 years.

Brown haired with brown eyes he stands at 6 feet even, and has a body toughened by the sea and tested in battle. His arms are huge, his face scarred. His cheeks are covered in a braided beard, and his voice is deep like the ocean. He laughs often, and loudly.

Known as a sellsword in Kings Landing, but a slightly more honorable one than usual. In the Iron Islands they think he is dead, and in the free cities some know him. Pirates fear the four bladed scythe.
