She looks up in the direction of her brother's stare. Aelinor nodded. "It is fine, Aelix. Let him stay, he will not bother me." She smiled,"I am sure The Ironborn will not harm me. I am the Princess after all."
"Go on, I am fine. We just discussed this. He will not harm me, he maybe here for a reason as well to clear his mind."
She kissed him."I am fine, my dragon."

Vickon saw both the Targaryen siblings turn to look at him and he realised just how long he had been watching for. He stood and walked towards the Heart-tree ignoring them both. He fell to both knees before the small pool of water that lay before the tree. It had been too long since he had seen the sea, the water was comforting.
He leaned forward and emerged his head in the water holding his breath for as long as he could. Here under the water, all his troubles washed away. No longer were the prince and princess watching him. The rest of the world and it's worries were invisible to him. Invisible, but not forgotten, He thought. Suddenly he could hold his breath no longer and he could hear the Drowned God calling to him. As tempting as it was to embrace the darkness, he could not. Vickon's work was not yet done in this world and the Drowned God told him so. His body started convulsing and he pulled his head up, violently gasping for air.

Aelinor turned from Aelix looking at the Ironborn. "You see... He came to converse with his own God, in his own way." She continued to watch him.

Vickon turned to the Targaryens, "Your princess is safe with me, Prince. This is a place for the Gods, and I respect them." He turned back to the pool and saw his reflection staring back at him.

After the feast Wyman felt the urge to pray. The godswood at White harbor was small, the wierwood face looking almost in pain. Not to mention the fact that it was also where prisoners were kept. The Winterfell godswood felt like a real godswood. As he walked through the woods looking at the trees and steaming pools. He came upon the Princess and the Greyjoy bastard.
"Princess, it's an honor to have you here." He said while bowing. "Pyke." He acknoledged.

"The honor is mine to be able to see such wonders and people." She smiled, standing beside her brother.
"And what is your discourse with the Ironborn, may I ask?"

"Unfortunately Ironborn have a long history of pillaging, raping, and disturbing the peace. Balon Greyjoy tried declaring himself 'Iron King' twice. Theon Greyjoy betrayed ones who trusted him. They slaughter innocents. They pay the 'iron price' for things, meaning they don't buy, but take their things off the dead." Wyman's look is not hateful or spiteful but stern.
His face slackens a bit. "Now I have no personal quarrel with Pyke or his father, we are all too young to remember the last time the Ironborn rose up, but the history has shown what the Ironborn have done and are capable of doing."

The princess stared at him wirh a smirk, as if Manderly had forgotten that this princess is well scholared in the histories of Westeros and its people.
"I too am well versed in the history of the Ironborn, but I do thank you for the revision,"she grinned with a hint of sarcasm.
"But again, in this instance he has not done any of those things except do as I did, which is show respect to a deity."

"Which is why I said I have no quarrel with Vickon. I would welcome most Ironborn over R'hllor worshipers and every Ironborn over a Frey."

Aelinor shakes her head, thinking back to the conversation she had just had with her brother. "Can you see past that and just see a man?"
She stepped towards him,"I am told that because of my education that I am an idealist. I do believe that...." Her gaze then turned to the Pyke,"I also know that there are families in our lands that laugh and scorn at mine because of our incestuous relationships and being that we also follow the Seven, which is a very huge contrast."
She smiled lightly, and then looked at the dark watered pool,"But for some reason I do not see why we all can not exist without wanting to spill the blood of the other because of our past or our religion."

Vickon laughed. "Then you are truly blind, princess. These wars are not about our past or our religion, they are about power. And the power to cause pain is the only power that matters. Because if you cannot kill then you are always subject to those who can. And no one shall ever save you. It is our ferocity that keeps the Kraken above the tides and it is your dragons that keeps you on your throne." He turned to look at Manderly, "Truly though I know not how Manderly stands here. Perhaps he is stronger than he looks," he said smirking.

She chuckles,"I am not vague on that fact either Ser Pyke. I understand that the play for the Iron Throne is only for power.. But you cannot deny that most men in this land also use religion to detest the other?"
Her violet eyes then focused on him,"And I am not blind to the fact that my family has control over the most powerful beasts in this land, but I see a bigger concern for us as a people other than power."
Her cloak drew tighter around her in the night air,"But gentlemen, we all know that power is an illusion, if people see you as powerful then you are." Aelinor then looks at her brother, reaching for his hand,"And with that gentlemen, I did enjoy our conversation, but you are right we should enjoy why we came here."

"Because Princess that is how thing haves always been. First Men fought the Children, Andals fought the First Men, Dothraki conquer everything they deem conquerable. Occasionally you will get times of peace but they unfortunately are short. It is ridiculous that we can't live in peace, and I will advocate peace almost every time I get the chance, but sometimes people are too different to live together and one side will erupt in violence.
But enough of this grim talk, we should focus on the happiness we came here for."

A brief silence fell upon the group as their conversation was cut short. Vickon shrugged and submerged his head in the water once again. The mainlanders can talk all they want about peace, but they too want war. For war is the means to power.
He pulled back out of the water, wiping the hair from his eyes. "Tell me princess, what are the dragons like?"

She smiled at him as the Pyke emerged from the water,"That is a question more suited for Aelix. I have never seen them personally, but I have heard them."
"My uncles have always told me that they are the most majestic of all creatures. I have read about them, but I have not been allowed to see them... Yet." Aelinor's smile was at her anticipation.
