What better way to bring together the community than a sharing of information about ourselves? Being new here, I hope I'm not crossing some sort of line. Well, I'm Jacob. Currently 18, I'm (grudgingly) attending my last year of high school. I like video games, love to read and write, and am a generally agreeable person. I started reading the ASoIaF series early on during my Jr. year, and fell in love quite quickly. I actually got my first tattoo a few weeks ago; the Targaryen sigil, on my chest, right over my heart. Well I see no problem in getting to know each other (some of us were doing it earlier in chat). My name is David. I'm 21 years old. Currently a NEET, but I am job searching.
After watching Game of Thrones I bought the first 4 books and read through them a year ago, and finished A Dance With Dragons this last January. I found out about this game from a post on Reddit. I thought it sounded like fun and I have been interested in trying out some rp.
My interest include obviously A Song of Ice an Fire, along with other fantasy and science fiction. I recently finished Theft of Swords by Michael J. Sullivan, which I enjoyed. I don't play video games much, but I enjoy them. I also enjoy anime. I love learning about history and about various cultures.

If you like history, I bet you'd get along with my friend Michael; he's a walking compendium of history. And yea, I had to Google "NEET" xD
I can actually credit Michael as the person that got me into this, the best series of books I've ever come across (it's like it's custom tailored to be everything I want in a series). He encouraged me to read A Game of Thrones, and once I was caught, he lent me his copies of the first four books, one after the other. I've only had to buy ADwD, but I personally think it's a beautiful book, nice and weighty, with awesome contents. Long books are great, and extremely well-written long books are the best.
Also, I was introduced to this RP on Reddit as well. Michael also introduced me to that community, although I didn't let myself actually read anything there until I finished ADwD.
I've talked Michael into checking this site out, so it's very likely he'll be around by the weekend. I told him he could take the place of my character's father, Lord of Harrenhal. He has a great mind for things concerning lordship, so I cant wait for that. He says the first thing he'll do is work to fortify Harrenhal.

So far, I've sort of been staying quiet, watching and reading how you guys do things. That was my policy at first. I got bored, though, and decided to go ahead and jump in. I'm still a noob in many ways, as I'm new to many aspects of this particular RP, but I'm learning. Experience is a great teacher, after all. EDIT: Still, doing as I do, there's always a chance I might screw something up due to inexperience. But I consider myself a fair RPer, so may as well stick my neck out. And I always wondered about D&D. It sounds enjoyable, and far enough up my alley. |

My name is Ian, and I am 22 years old. I enjoy long walks on the beach, the Twilight Novels, and 50 Shades of Grey. I am literally your worst nightmare.
But on to more serious stuff that is true, the first sentence is true. Actually, I enjoy fantasy novels, like Name of the Wind, Riftwar Saga, all that fun stuff. I also like watching a lot of TV, like the Wire and Sopranos, or anything HBO. I'm a playwright independantly for several clubs and schools in my area, around SF. Most of those plays I also act and occasionally sing for them. I love history, especially the Napoleonic Era and ancient Rome.
