Lannister smiled. "I spoke to Hightower already. And I do know I have the Riverlands and the Reach on my side. The North has always been distant, and the Red God worshippers of Dorne and the Stormlands seem to hate those that follow any god but their own." He drank again, drumming his fingertips on the table.
"I don't really care what god one worships. But I do care about my lands, and my economy. That is why I lead my men to war, and why I now seek peace."

(Sorry about that wait.) Damon smiled and leaned back in his chair, "So Dorne may be a problem, I have already spoken with the North regarding these matters, and Stark wishes to speak with me regarding it. After all, he did marry my sister." He drummed his fingers on his legs, and took a drink of his wine, "We can probably ignore Dorne for now, considering their distance and land barriers, but eventually they will be given an ultimatum. But for now, it sounds as though we may able to make this land unified in a goal."

"Yes, it does. You will come with us when we join to have our talks; Tully, Tyrell, and I. I do wonder what the king will have to say. Tensions haven't been this high since the Bloody Night." Lannister traced the rim of his glass, making it sing. He looked at Arryn carefully. "It seems you are taking to Lordship rather well. I have heard all sorts of rumors coming down from your mountaintop. Perhaps we could get to the bottom of this matter."

Damon rolled up the map and took another sip of his wine. He leaned back in his chair and swirled the wine in a hand, looking to Tybolt, "Let's."

Tybolt ran his eyes over Arryn somewhat predatorily. "Well there is the matter of your coup. Some would name you kinslayer." He leaned in, resting his elbows on the table. "And then there is the...other thing." He grinned. "Have you no interest in taking a wife?"

Damon shrugged and brushed his hair back, his eyes turned cold, "Those who wish to call me kinslayer certainly may, and should they think that the Vale should not be under my control, they are free to march their armies past the Bloody Gate and up to the Eyrie, like so many have tried and failed." He finished his glass, "And a wife?" Damon scratched his chin and laid the glass on the table, "I suppose I need an heir."

"A strong claim, it would seem." He nodded. "More wine?" He filled both their cups a second time before Arryn could accept or refuse. "Of course some said the same of me when I was but a lad, and my father passed under, shall we say, somewhat mysterious circumstances. Of course those men are dead now."
"All men need heirs, but some find no pleasure in wives. I myself have had three, useless lot. Didnt give me anything but stillbirths and a daughter, as useless as her mother." He drank again. "Wives are but a duty." He licked his lips. "I fear not even whores can sate the lusts of men such as ourselves. Am I correct, Lord Arryn?"

Damon eyed the Lannister as he talked and filled the glasses. He took the glass, and downed it, placing it back on the table. "Men die, some live long, some live forever, some may even live until this world ends, but every man dies. Why does it matter when it happens?" He runs a finger along the top of the glass, "And I agree, sometimes women do not sate certain men's needs and wants."

"Glad to know there is truth yet to be heard in rumors," Tybolt said, draining his second glass of wine in one long draught. He ran a hand through his long golden curls, stretching his legs out under the table. "What a long day it has been indeed. I am doubling my guard, though if they decide to burn me in my sleep, not all the guards in the world will save me. Oh what a hold religion has on the hearts and souls of men!" He sighed. "And I should probably not have another glass of wine, but I will."

Damon downs the rest of glass and places it on the table. He smiles, and then chuckles. "The reception in this city has been...less than welcoming. I'm glad to find an ally amidst all this."

The ruby liquid flowed into their cups again, splashing a little as Lord Lannister poured with greater enthusiasm, the only sign of how the strong alcohol had affected him thus far. "Of course. Allies. I don't see why anyone should be so rude and ungracious. Are we not aristocrats all? Our birth has rendered us, the Lords Paramount of Westeros, an elite few. We should be friends. Even those R'hllor-worshipping bastards in Dorne and the Stormlands." He got to his feet and moved around the table, pushing the full glass into Arryn's hand again and clinking his against it. "Aristocrats all, Lord Arryn, and my bed is cold. Perhaps you could stay with me a little longer."

(Great Caesar's pickled spirit on a hotdog bun, i'm setting an alarm to check this website so I don't have absences like that, sorry.)
Damon stood, and left the glass where it was, he smirked and looked to the door, "Now, what would the other Houses say?"

(Ha, totally thought you had quit. Good to see you back.)
"Their sisters and daughters would cry enough tears to fill the Narrow Sea." Tybolt touched Arryn's chest, feeling the warmth rising from the smooth material of his doublet. "What would you say? That's what matters, I think."

He smiled and grasped the hand on his doublet, and used his other to brush the Lord's face, "It would, strengthen things," he said jokingly.

"Isn't this how alliances are usually strengthened among the great houses?" Tybolt kissed him then, hard, tasting the wine in the other man's mouth and feeling the roughness of Damon's moustache against his cleanshaven face. His hand tightened in the cloth of the doublet.
