Lord Lannister stood suddenly, his chair clattering to the floor behind him. His hand was on the hilt of Brightroar, not drawing it, but prepared to if it should come to it. "Sorcery," he hissed. He saw Hightower flee, and almost followed him. But Lord Lannister held his ground. "Whose dark magic is this?!"

Post by Lord Trajan Blackfyre on Oct 26, 2012 3:15:35 GMT -5
Trajan had just been about to remind the gathered lords that their choices were essentially peace or obliteration. The looming threat of the Crown's dragons had caused this council and they could just as easily bring it to an end. Before he could speak, the septon present was engulfed in magical flames.
He looked to the leader of the Red Priests as the most likely culprit, due to the obvious use of firecalling. He would have scoffed if the situation were not so dire, at the followers of the Red God and their precious flames. Power did not come from R'hllor, it came from blood. Realizing he was unarmed, Trajsn slipped the small pin from his dragon broach to his hand and pressed it against his skin, prepared to draw blood and reveal his own sorcery if the situation escalated.
"You have broken the sacred peace of this conference!" he said, pointing an accusing finger at the red priest and stepping protectively in front of the King. "Surrender yourself!"

Soon after the accusing the elder priest who had barley moved the whole knight stands. However a stray bolt from the room soon ends the elder priests life sending him to the ground. Soon in that moment the whole room erupts into swords and about to attack except from the deep loud yell of a massive man. Markar Targarian had taken his sword out and proceed to cut the table in half with a single swing. "Enough in the name of the King no more blood will be shed today!" The rest of the Kingsguard take their place around the King, along with Damon Blackfyre and his bastard sword.

As the knights moved around the King, Trajan looked to see where the bolt had originated from.

Todric jumps up as the septon takes flame. His fists clentched, ready to fight. He stares at House Dayne, if the man would have taken responsibility for his man then maybe things would not have escalated He unclentches his fist and stands behind his chair, leaning on the top of the backrest, when the lord commander shouted.

Todric notices the Sword of the Morning looking around, dawn seeming to gleam in the dawn night air. The Kingsguard ward off anyone who might threaten the king but the Faith Military Wing are about to fight, in the matter of minutes it seems the peace talks have ended in war.

Leo stayed quiet till now, now he stood out of his chair. "Calm down! My lords, calm down. This is isn't working." he mumbled. "Oakheart, Fossoway, Tarly, keep the peace. Our knights will not draw first blood. Someone go after fucking Hightower."

Edric comes in walking fast. "My lords, I'm truly sorry I'm late, we had some prob-.." He stops and stares at the priest in flames, the cutted table, the Kingsguard and all the Lords standing with their swords draw. Well....fuck

Leo saw Lord Edric enter. "Shit, shit, shit." He wished Arthur Hightower was here. He had a booming voice that could put a dragon's roar to shame. "Not a drop of fucking blood spilled by our swords" he said to his lords. "My lords, calm down. This is a peace summit! Nathan, protect Jonnet." he spoke to Oakheart.

Lord Lannister had drawn Brightroar, holding it at the ready in the fray. His maester...he wasn't sure where the man had gone. Damn him, he better not have died. It would be so annoying to have to train a new one to suit his exacting needs... Nevermind all that for now, he thought, eying the Sword of the Morning and glistening Dawn.
"Everyone, sit down! The leaders of both our religions are dead, both through treachery of some sort..." He glared at all the Dornishmen and Stormlanders. "Let us put away our swords and speak of peace once again." He made no move to do so, thinking if he sat down and sheathed Brightroar that his head would be rolling not a moment after.

Post by Daentyn Toyne on Oct 26, 2012 13:01:05 GMT -5
Instinctively prepared to grab his spear, Daentyn's eyes darted about the room, taking in all that had happened, was happening, and might happen. His father sat beside him, mulling over the occurrences in silence, though his eyes were wide. Should any harm befall my father. . . Heedless of any act his own, Daentyn's hands began to burn, an invisible heat incapable of anything aside from a stray sweating palm. Contain it, contain it, contain it; do not doubt, should you make a show of yourself, you will be blamed for the Septon's death. It occurred to him suddenly that the Blackfyre son had made to draw his own blood, a small move, nigh imperceptible, but to what end? Only the arcane seemed noteworthy. How many warlocks, mages, or priests of power were present in the situation?
At the entrance of the Keep, his father's knights grew restless, all brandished steel and shields. Still, they remained motionless, obedient to their last. Any intervention by them could be taken as an act of war. Lord Toyne had briefed and trained them well.

Lord Edric, confused and all looks puzzled at Lord Tyrell and goes to the nearset chair and says "Okay...let's calm down...now...would anyone care to explain what in the Seven Hells has happened here!??" Okay Edric, don't loose it, don't loose it, stay calm... He moved his hand closer to his swords hilt. You can never be too careful...

The commotion having reached the outside of the great hall, Ser Aran Oakheart was now on alert.
"Quick, with me!" he signaled the other Tarly men.
He entered and saw the High Septon and Elder Priest on the ground. He scanned the hall for his lord. He found Lord Tarly along with Lord Fossoway and his own kin Lord Oakheart making a shield around Lord Tyrell. He rushed to Lord Tarly's side and handed him his greatsword. Lord Tarly drew Heartsbane and bellowed to his men, "Protect Lord Tyrell, let no man near him!"
With that Ser Aran Oakheart drew his sword and took his place in the shield around Lord Tyrell.

"Truly," Lord Toyne mused, "there is a fever fallen over the lot of you. Weapons drawn, shields poised; even mine own son looks battle-ready." At that, Daentyn breathed deeply, returning to his seat beside his father, who continued. "So far as peace conferences go, this has been an utter failure. An omen of dread if ever there was one."
No matter the shame Daentyn felt over his actions, the weight of the situation was heavy on his chest. One man burned to death, another punctured by the bolt of a crossbow. . . Where did it come from? With a thought of where the Priest was hit, Daentyn traced the trail it must have flown in his mind.

Trajan took a seat with a calm demanor, the small pin still pressed against the skin hidden in his left hand.
"I remind you all in the name of His Grace that your choices here are peace or obliteration." he said evenly, eyeing those present baring steel with cold detachment. He removed a quill and parchment. "Whoever still has steel drawn in the presence of the king in the next thirty seconds will have their name written on this list. When the dragons come to punish this unlordly behavior I have a feeling those names written will be the first to see their keeps, lands, garrisons, and families reduced to ash. Now, sit and act like the nobles you claim to be!"
