Edric laughed at Jon Rivers mocking Lord Torrent "That's such a lovely thing to talk at a dinner, Lord Anthony," He then looked at Jon. "And how come we have a bastard at a dinner in the Red Keep??" Edric was rather curious to know.

"Please, Just Anthony... My father was to sick to come, so I came in his place..." Gotfried tried to look as much as he could as a lordling.

"The ruins of Valyria where my bloodline originated, was a sight few men toay dare to behold." Trajan replied, the images of the demolished towers where dragons had once roosted fresh in his mind. "It is a testament that even the mightiest empires and greatest of men are mere playthings where the higher mysteries are concerned. It is said that during the Doom, every hill for five miles split asunder to fill the air with ash and smoke and fire, blazes so hot and hungry that even dragons in the sky were engulfed and consumed. Even dragons can burn, Lord Baelish."

"I'm a bastard, aye, but a rich one. Lord Piper's my father, and I'm told I have quite a talent at rubbing coins together. Certainly better than that idiot Lord Baelish. Man owes me a bloody fortune. At least Lannisters pay their debts."

"Dragons... can... burn..." Pod said while he wrote down Trajan's last words. "Hmmmm.... it must be fantastic to be one of the few men who went there and came back alive..." Pod's eyes gleamed in amusement, he'd always dreamed about visiting the ancient lands... "And how was that you managed to get there?"

Hmm..
Edric took a sip of wine. "Lord Baelish is a good lad..." And you're just a spoiled bastard...

"Who is this Baelish man? Rivers has been complaining about him constantly. Is he just piss-poor at managing money?"

"More of a bastard boy than I am. A naive child who won't fess up because all Baelishs are taught from birth to hold onto every fucking coin as tight as their mother's teat." He coughed, then took another gulp of liquid.

"Hah...I don't know much about him, but from what I've heard about the Baelish family he's not too like them. He seems good, I don't know what missfortune he has done to you...."

Leman laughed "Sounds like a man who I want to spend my money! Rivers! Give him a chance. If he pinches pennies that much, then when you do get him up on the kings justice, he'll have a pretty treasury for you to take, no?"

Gottfrid stood up harshly from his chair. "Lord Podrick is a good friend of my family, you shouldn't be talking about him like that bastard..."

Rivers put down his cup and turned menacingly. "Afraid of the truth, Torrent?"

What happened to him, he was never the kind of guy to fight for an ideal, nor for a fellow valleyman... but suddenly he felt a need to fight... a need to die! "Will it be the truth if I spill your guts on the ground..."

Leman filled his mouth with ale, then laughed anyway spraying it everywhere. "I like this man!" Slamming Rivers on the back with his hand, nearly smashing his head on the table.
