Gerold frowned. "Will burning every Dornish man alive bring you peace? Will it cure your sores? Tend to your wounds? Bring back our father? No. It will only serve to cause you more grief. If you truly wish to make war, than I will hear you out. But not here. Not now."

Ser Aran Oakheart left King's Landing with Jonnet Tyrell and the young heir of house Fossoway. After the events of the Dragon's Wedding, Lord Tyrell thought it best to send his heir to the safety of Highgarden. In their escort were thirty Tarly and forty Fossoway men-at-arms. First they would stop at Cider Hall to put the remains of Lord Fossoway to rest.

Gerold rode with twenty of his men swiftly up The Roseroad, traveling several leagues North of Highgarden. He espied the company going South, and rode to intercept them, his horses stopping just short of The Tarly Men-at-arms.
"Aran Oakheart, I presume? Lord Tyrell informed me you might be coming this way."

Aran saw the banners of the man who had rode up to him, an argent tower on a field of dark grey.
"Lord Hightower, we were not expecting you. We were just making our way from Cider Hall. Lord Fossoway is dead and I saw to it that his heir made it home."
The Fossoway men-at-arms at stayed behind at Cider Hall, now that the rest of the journey was on the safer road to Highgarden.

"I've been instructed to take both you and The Young Apple to Oldtown. Neither Cider Hall nor Highgarden are safe right now. As of right now, The Hightower is one of the safest places in Westeros." Gerold frowned.

Aran believed it, the Hightower of Oldtown had always stayed from war. "These are dark days my Lord."
Aran turned to Jonnet, "It seems we are headed to Oldtown." And then to Hightower, "We should not tarry here any longer, please, lead on."

Gerold nodded. "Save another skilled sorcery attack, you should be relatively safe there." He spurred his horse Southwards, trusting his men and Oakheart to follow.

/////////////////// They hit the road in the early hours. Five hundred horsed men surrounded him, mostly knights. They were joining another group farther up the Roseroad. He had spoken of treason before, but had never taken it this far. I must reach Highgarden.
