Vickon entered the room without knocking. "You wanted to see me?" He sat himself down in one of the chairs opposite his father and relaxed.

Vickon sat up and put the letter down. "Well it is something. A pirate hideout is a small prize however and I have a feeling far larger ones shall soon be available to us," He looked to his father, "Should we be willing to take them."

Vickon shook his head. "Not particularly. Rumor has it war is about to break out in the South and I would rather be around for that than chasing after some pirates in the Vale. The North is weaker than ever. Without Stark they don't have their inspirational leader that beat us back last time. Not to mention the south." Vickon leans back in his chair. "Ripe fruit for the picking."

"What do you have in mind?" Vickon's eyebrows raised.

Vickon smiled and nodded. "Give me command of the Iron Fleet and I shall bring all of Westeros to it's knees before us."

Vickon's smile quickly faded, "I am true Ironborn! I am your son! The Iron Fleet should be mine!" Anger was very clearly etched onto his face.

Vickon rose sharply, kicking his chair out from underneath himself. "He is no Ironborn! More of a bastard than I am! Born to that Bearbitch you call a wife!"

That was one thing Vickon had always been jealous of his father. His strength. His father had always been physically powerful.
The blow hit him square in the jaw and it sent Vickon flying. He crashed into a bookcase that stood behind him, causing books of various sizes to fall on top of him, scattering all over the floor. He felt the bookcase begin to fall over him and he quickly rolled out of the way as it made a loud *THUMP* hitting the floor. He looked up as quick as he could, but his father was already closing in.

Vickon yelped in pain as the bookcase hit him, a cold dagger arcing up his body. As his father readied for another blow, he rolled out of the way, sprung up as fast as he could and rushed him. They clashed together and they flew into the table that lay in the middle of the room. Their combined weight cracking it in half, they both fell to the floor, amidst a pile of broken wood and books.

The wine stung his eyes and he found himself flailing around on the ground unable to see. He leapt in a direction that he presumed was away from his father as his vision slowly returned to him. He stood up and grabbed the same chair he had been sitting on just seconds previously. Still half-blinded and yelling, Vickon threw the chair at his father.

They crashed backwards into the cold stone wall and Vickon felt a sharp rod or pain shoot through his body yet again. Lord Jerron pinned him up against the wall and repeatedly started punching him in the chest and stomach. Vickon managed to block a few and push Jerron away who crashed into another chair that stood behind him. He recovered quickly however and Vickon found he had little time for respite. They began to exchange blows with one another in the centre of the room, but for every one punch Vickon landed, Jerron landed two.

Vickon crashed into the door with a loud *CRACK* and it felt like it might break. It stayed sturdy however, though cracks were now visible along it's edges. Vickon was back on his feet quickly and he rushed towards the fire. Out of the hearth he pulled a flaming chair leg and began waving it madly at Jerron whilst yelling an unintelligible battle cry.

Vickon froze as he stared at the large axe his father held in his hands. For a long while time stood still around them, Jerron with his battleaxe in hand and Vickon with his flaming piece of wood. This is a fight I cannot win.
After what seemed like an age, Vickon slowly backed away from his father who maintained a fixed eye on him the whole time. He threw his piece of wood back into the fire as he left, before quickly slamming the door shut behind him and rushing down the tower stairs. For the first time on their trip, Vickon felt very far from home. Is there no one in this world I can trust?
