Lorraine squeezed the princess' hand. "Thank you for understanding. I will try to have the decision made and ready for you as soon as we can. I'm sure we will at lest be attending your wedding. I was glad to have you and yours at mine." She smiled at all three of the Targaryens.

Wilhelm enters his solar and wonders why the hell so many people are in his personal space without him knowing. He likes his personal spaces. He frowns at them. "Lorraine, what is this about?"

She got to her feet and went to his side. "We are glad to see you here at last, my lord. The Targaryens were telling me of a proposition." She glanced over at them. "To make you the King's Master of Laws, Wilhelm."

He narrows his eyes. "Is this why you decided to come to our wedding? To ask me this? On our wedding day?" He says a hint of anger in his voice.

Sighing,"Yes and no, Lord Stark." She looked at him,"We were sent because our King Father wanted us far from the peacetalks, which better adventure than a wedding where we are safe in your home?"
Aelinor stood before him, proudly, feeling his anger, but she was not afraid to speak her thoughts to him,"But in my honesty, I do not agree with my King Father's proposition. I believe you should remain here, with your family and your people. Your very presence provides them strength and unwaivering courage in times of trouble."
"But... It is a very prestigious position."
Looking at him,"And as I stated to Lady Stark, ultimately.... It is your choice, for your family, Lord Stark."

He looks to Lorraine. "What would you like? You have a voice now." He said to his wife.

"I want what you want, and that is what is best for our family." She glanced sidelong at the Targaryens. "Perhaps we should discuss in private, Wilhelm."

He nods and looks to them. "Please leave us if you would."

After the Targaryens left, Lorraine latched the door and went to her husband's side. "Well? Do you want to be the Master of Laws? Its an important position, but..." She put her arms around his waist, resting her head on his chest. "Do you want to live in the capitol?"

"No I do not..." He looks confused. "I had wished that they would be more time, however if we do plan on going down there they can wait for an answer." He says.

"I know we said we would go to their wedding, but that could be taken as implied agreement." She thought a moment. "Let's stay here, away from the problems of the south. Let them fight amongst themselves over red gods and the seven. I will take your gods, Wilhelm, and we will keep out of it all."

"I would take it but now I must think of you and another." He looks to her. "I think it is best if we are to stay here."

She smiled at him. "The King can find someone else easily. My brother, if he isn't too drunk, or perhaps one of his Blackfyre cousins. The North will take care of its own," she said, getting on her toes to kiss his cheek.

He nods. "Are you truly wishing to take the Old Gods?" He asked her.

"My stepmother was a Blackwood. She followed the Old Gods. You and I were married before the weirwood. I see no reason not to renounce the Seven and take the gods of my new family. These gods have lived far longer than any of the others in this land, especially in the North." Her bright blue eyes sought his.
