"I know, but I'm eager for our child, Wilhelm. Our children." She smiled. "What else would I do with my days? Only so many can be spent riding or hunting or walking among the flowers and plants in the greenhouse."

She giggled and kissed him back. "You couldn't do it if you tried." She got up again. "Now, didn't we have a wedding to plan? Organize the cooks, the entertainers, get the guest rooms aired..."

Lorraine came up the stairs again, knowing Wilhelm would be there. Her face was pale, but she looked pleased with herself. She pushed open the door, not bothering to knock. "Wilhelm?"

She did, crossing the room to stand at his side in a few quick strides. "Wilhelm...I've been to see the maester and..." She looked up into his face, grinning at him. "Our family will begin sooner than expected."
