"I suppose you're right. She is almost nineteen, she won't be around here much longer." She looked pensive. "I only meant...well, before I came, she would be the heiress of Winterfell. If I have a son, she will be disinherited. I hope she has no hard feelings about that."

"Lorraine, she is my daughter, and she always will be. She will still have the name stark, however I am hoping when our children are born she will not." He says looking up. "She deserves happiness that much."

"Perhaps she will meet someone at the wedding. All your bannerlords will come. I am sure any one of them would love to take the hand of their lord's daughter, especially one so pretty as Bethany. I hope she can find love in one of them..." She looked away, not meeting his eyes. "If not, perhaps something can be arranged."

"Lorraine," He sits up. "She will pick who she wants, when she wants. I will not force her." He said looking to her.

"There is nothing wrong with an arranged marriage, my lord. It is expected. My first marriage was arranged, and we were fond enough of eachother." She looked at him seriously. "Happiness would come, in time."

Lorraine looked hurt. "Don't go, Wilhelm. I..." She tugged the blanket up over her nakedness. It was difficult to be taken seriously when naked. "I didn't mean to choose her betrothed, I only meant..." She sighed, drawing her knees up to her chest. "I mean that she is nineteen. She must surely marry soon or she will be too old for many to consider."

Wilhelm looks down at her. "I promised her to make a choice, she understands that she will need to marry and she will she wants children, she wants family." He says to her putting down his leather.

Lorraine gave him a look. "I am sure she does. I am just worried that she would be upset that my children would usurp her place."

"Her place?" Wilhelm's look grows cold. "She as a place as my daughter she will accept if you have a son, she knows this." He goes back to the leather vest that he had let go of. "Lorraine, I never thought you would accuse me of being a bad father, of not training my daughter right." He says coldly and puts it on going for his large cape.

"That is not it at all, Wilhelm. If I thought you would be a bad father I would never have consented to marry you." Lorraine said sharply. "I just thought that after a lifetime of being the heir, it might be hard for her to adjust. I am not accusing you of anything, I am just concerned."

He straps his Cloak on tightly. "I said she will understand." He said making his way for the door. "Good Day." He shuts the door sharply as he leaves, wood cracking a bit.

Lorraine stared at the door for a long moment, hardly believing how angry he had gotten. She had never seen him like that before, not at her. She laid down on the bed, curling into a ball and clutching her stomach. It was still flat and she felt no movement inside, but she knew his child was within her... and then she let herself cry.

There came a tentative knock at the door. Wilhelm heard, a moment later, a quiet voice ask, "Could I come in?"
