Lorraine pushed the door open slowly, in stark contrast to the way she had bounded up the stairs the other day. "My lord, I came to speak with you..." she said quietly, carefully, respectfully.

He runs his hand though her hair. "I am sorry too," He says to her.

"I was only..." She felt the tears come to her eyes, trying in vain to blink them back. "I was afraid...I overreacted. I shouldn't have said those things about her...and you frightened me."

"I am sorry..." He said sounding relatively truthful behind his deep voice. He holds on to her until he feels her tears and breaks and looks to her wiping her tears with his sleeve. "Lorraine...do not cry."

She felt silly for crying. "I-I'm not," she said, wiping her face. "Don't be angry with me. I couldn't bear it if you were angry with me, no matter what stupid things I might have said."
