Tybolt looked amused. "Leave? We might as well. Nothing else for us here, in this godforsaken city. But...peace? I don't think it will last long."

"The Stormlands remain loyal to King Aelix." said Edwyn sternly. "Treason by Tyrell or any who join him will not go unpunished."

"Lord Tyrell," said Edric. "why did you call us here?"

(I didn't read carefully, sorry. I didn't realize the implications of what he had said.)
Rebellion. The word twisted Tybolt's face into a smirk. He had his own little war planned that would cut Westeros in two. So what if Tyrell wished to rebel to the south? Perhaps an alliance would be in order, and then he could cut down Tyrell later, once he had won support among the Lord of Highgarden's banners... He shook his head. Machinations and intrigues of this type were a dangerous game.
"If you Lords will leave, so will I. I find myself longing for the comforts of home and wondering what my steward has gotten up to. I have weddings to plan and to execute." Here he gave Martell a pointed look.

OOC: In Edwyn's mind, Tyrell's "Rebellions have been won before." is treasonous talk.
Noting Tybolt's smirk, Edwyn looked sharply at the Lannister lord. He didn't trust the man at all.
"There has been no peace settlement my lords and until there is, then the Stormlands will remain on a war footing." he said sharply. "We stand as one with Dorne and loyal to King Aelix. Remember that when you return to your lands."

Arsilen sat in the shadows, playing his lute. He softly plucked notes and sang under his breath. "Were you loyal to the King when you attacked the Reach? Is that what he wanted? What he desired? That is a very strange way to show loyalty. Even now, as you lords bicker in my bar and home, you are losing. Eh, what do I know? I'm just a simple barkeep. or am I?" he smiled beneath his hood. "You will all tear yourselves to bloody ribbons if you don't get your priorities straight."

Trajan studied the barkeep carefully with his violet eyes.
"A strange day when a commoner makes more sense than the greatest lords of the realm." Trajan exclaimed. "It would be better for your health if you learned to hold your tongue better among nobles, but you speak the truth."

"Great lords? You're all the same, even if you think you're one of a kind. Especially you, Trajan. Oh, yes, I know you. I've seen you from afar and have stood at the the edge of your bed here in King's Landing. If a man holds his tongue, he is afraid. If a ruler cuts his tongue out, he is even more afraid. Words are words and words are wind."

"Bah." snarled Edwyn, his volatile temper rising. "This stretches back to the treachery of the Bloody Night. Red Priests, invited in good faith to the Red Keep and slaughtered. For twenty-five years I have fought to keep invaders from the Riverlands, West and Reach out of my lands. I have defended my own. And have succeeded too, as they have found to their cost."
A look of derision came over his face.
"I came to Kings Landing in good faith at the King's command to broker a peace, to give rest to my people after a quarter of a century of war. My people have been forged in fire and blood and they will continue to fight, if attacked. Woe to any that do invade our lands, despoil our people, as they treacherously did twenty five years ago.
He slammed one fist into another. "We are loyal to the King. We swore the oaths. If only the Targaryens had been as loyal to us as we have to them, by imposing their royal will on those who brought fire and the sword to my lands, a quarter of a century ago. Nevertheless we will fight the King's enemies AND defend our own, as long as there is breath in our bodies."

""If you truly knew me barkeep, you would be afraid." Trajan said coldly, standing to his feet. "I leave you to your drinks, my lords. May they not lead you to decisions you will come to regret."

"I fear no man who's throat can be slashed." he stood and left, blending with the shadows and disappearing from view. A note left it's place. The note reads: "Kings will rise."

"How very melodramatic," said Tybolt to no one in particular, his familiar arrogant grin still plastered across his face. "Well I will not go to war against Martell, soon to be my dearest brother-in-law. So I believe our quarrel is over, for now, Baratheon." He raised his glass to the Stag Lord. There was no love lost between their houses, that was certain.
