Lord Lannister knocked on Martell's door at the appointed time.

Edric was reading The Book of Old Books when he heard someone at the door. He sent a servant to open the door.
It must be Tybolt.
He had recieved a card from Lord Tybolt earlier in the afternoon speaking about an alliance between them...throught his sister. Sweet Elia.
Edric closed the book and put it on the table. His room was rather small compared to his own back in Dorne. This one had a bed, a desk besides the door, a closet close to the bed, the table where he was sitting at was right after the desk and then between the bed and the table there was a little balcony, which was rather nice and comfy.
He stood to greet Lord Tybolt. "Tybolt Lannister, good day".

Tybolt inclined his head toward Martell. "And good day to you, as well." He looked around the little room. It was smaller than his own apartments...though he had been given a suite of rooms to include his sister and her ladies, as well. "Shall we get started, then?"

"Sure thing, take a seat." Edric pushed a chair for Lord Tybolt to sit. "Would you like something to drink?"

He sat, resting his elbows on the table. "Of course I would. Wine, if you have it, and I am sure you do. I'm no Tully, and Dornish wine will do as well as any for me."

"I'm afraid I didn't bring any REAL Dornish wine with me. I have some normal wine tho." He waved at the young boy.

Tybolt raised an eyebrow. Even HE had brought a bottle or too of good old Dornish Red. But perhaps Martell's priorities were different than his. "I'll have whatever you've got." He looked around. "Is your no-doubt gorgeous sister not in attendance, then?"

"I'm afraid not. When they called me here it was for the Peace Summit. I left with hurry and didn't think on bringing my sister." He took a sip of wine...it wasn't bad. "Anyways, she never took interest in King's Landing. She thought it filthy and dangerous." He looked at Tybolt, studying his face.

"Pity. I brought Joanna with me. Marriages are always helpful in brokering peace." Tybolt swallowed a great deal of the wine in his glass, swirling what was left with a curious expression on his face. "Does she have a distaste for cities, then? I can't imagine she would like Lannisport much better, though it certainly smells nicer than the capitol, and the breeze that comes in off the ocean is quite lovely."

"Hah, no My Lord. I think she's just too used to Sunspear. She loves painting tho, and is quite good at it."

Painting...how useless, thought Lannister as he drank deeply from his glass. "How nice. A painter," he said blandly. "Well, do you think she'd like to come to Casterly Rock, and be Lady Lannister?"

He grinned. "It deppends on what you have to offer, Lord Tybolt." he took a sip of wine. "An alliance is good, yes. But besides that what will I gain? It's not like we're friends, but I do not dislike you."

"I have one of the strongest economies in all the seven kingdoms. You will gain a valuable ally and trading partner. Is there anything else you'd like to discuss?"

"Fair enough," he drank the last bit of wine from his cup. "I'll send a raven to my little sister to tell her the news, and you'll get married as soon as I'm back in Dorne." He smiled at Tyblot.

Tybolt raised his glass to Martell. "To the new Lady Lannister, then." He drained his glass, putting it down on the table hard.
"I'm sure she will just love Casterly Rock, when she comes."
