Tybolt seemed more amused than ever. He thought briefly of his alliance with Arryn, and their plan to take Westeros for their own. Perhaps this was the way to go. "Very well then, your grace," he muttered, flourishing a bow. "I am your man." He shot Joanna a glance, and she quickly dropped into a low curtsey.
"Your grace," she murmured, though her eyes were on the Hightower, uneasily regarding her future husband.

Gerold smiled. "Good. Now, to business. What of the other lords. Arryn, Tully, Martell, Baratheon, Stark. What will they do? We need to anticipate their moves, and either make peace, or destroy them."

"Please call me Leo, both of you. Or Longthorn. Stark will brood as he always does. Arryn will do nothing, I suspect. It might come to blows with the last three." he sighed. "If it comes to it, destroy Tully first. The Riverlands are easily conquered."

Tybolt rose. "I think it is safe to assume that Lord Arryn will follow our lead...or at least bide his time and do nothing, as Hightower says. As for Martell..." he sighed. "I'm to marry his sister, if that means anything." He glanced at his sister, thinking how easily engagements could be broken and toying with the ends of his long hair. "The Stark's new wife is my late brother's widow, as well as Tully's sister. Attacking the Riverlands may draw the North in."

Leo lit up and ran over and gave him a hug. "Perfect, absolutely perfect. Martell is with us then. You must marry soon. Attacking the Riverlands is our last option. We will try to resolve it peacefully."

He noticed Hightower staring at the girl. "My lady, come here. Meet your husband."

Gerold smiled with as much warmth as he could muster. "Joanna. It is a pleasure to meet you. I have heard tales of your beauty." He shifted uncomfortably. "They do not do you justice, you are far more stunning than words could describe."

Lannister stiffened and waited for the King to release him. When he finally did so, he brushed the front of his immaculate clothes as though dirtied. "Yes, I will marry Lady Elia as soon as I can...and no doubt dear Joanna will become Lady Hightower with all haste?"
Joanna regarded her soon-to-be husband carefully. She compared him to the other one, the Tully. "Pleasure to meet you, as well." She curtseyed. "I thank you. I have heard of you too, my lord. You're said to be very learned."

Gerold frowned slightly at Joanna's compliment, thinking about what he had discovered at The Citadel, than smiled. "So they say. After all, I'm not a maester."

"But you are my Hand." he gave him a stern look.

"They say you studied to be one, even though you were the heir to..." She looked down demurely. "Pardon, my lord."

"I say we have a dual marriage. Lord and Lady Hightower; Lord and Lady Lannister. We'll have it in the hanging gardens." he chuckled. "Mayhaps my wife and I will renew our vows also."

"A dual marriage? How sickeningly sweet." Tybolt restrained himself from laughing out loud. "If that is what you desire, though, I'll go through with it. Perhaps we'll have a fourth marriage, and wed my daughter to your heir. She's only nine as yet, but it'll be only a year or two before she's ready for your grandchildren."

"Perhaps. But on to more pressing matter. Mainly the North, Dorne, and the Stormlands."

"Quite right. If The Stormlands, Dorne, and The Tullys remain loyal to the crown, we'll have quite a little problem on our hands. If Lannister's marriage comes through, we'll be fine. If not.... Those forces combined will nearly equal our own, if not surpass them. We need another ally. Arryn would be ideal." Gerold began to pace.
