"The Vale's troop are fresh. They did not participate in the War. If we can win the Riverlands, by guile or friendship, the North will most likely follow. I understand that Lord Tully's sister is Lady Stark. She can sway her husband." he rubbed his temples. "If we must fight the Trout, we will lose land and troops and gain animosity. My Lord Hand." he indicated Hightower.

"Stark is beholden to his Wife, yes, but he is also beholden to his honor. So long as he perceives Aelix as the rightful King and us as rebels, he will fight against us. Our main problem is The King. He controls The Dragons, and all the Lords that love their honor. How do you intend to Kill Him? The assassins I have on my payroll are all either busy or dead at the moment."

"We must give Stark a reason to fight. As for assassins." he smiled. "I'm going to need this list of names sent to the Lover's Shadow in King's Landing." he handed him it. "How many Dornish and Stormlander prisoners do we have in the dungeons?"

"Some. Don't know if it's enough for significant leverage, though. We'll have too see." Gerold tapped his fingers. "Anything Else? I've got work to do, and I'm sure you do too."

"Send a diplomat to the Iron Islands. The best you can find."

"I don't know many, but I will try to scrounge up some." Gerold turned to leave. "I'm going to check your defenses. See what improvements they need."

Lord Todric Tully enters the great hall, followed by Lord Vance and Jory Lorch. The rest of his men stayed out.
They waited for "King" Tyrell.

He entered the room, honor guard surrounding him. He assumed his throne. "My lord Tully, we are extremely glad to have you here. Please have some bread and salt." He ushered a servant forward. "Arbor Gold?"

Todric takes the wine thankfully, and swigs it down. It had been a long ride. "Now let's move past formalities. I could be labeled a traitor just for meeting with you. You are and old ally and friend, so I wish to hear you out on why you would break away from the Royal Targaryans and name yourself King."

"Because it is profitable. Because it will make him strong. Because he can." Gerold strode into the hall. "No wine, thank you. Arbor Gold was never my preference."

Damon enters, twenty of his black armored knights following him. He is wearing his armor with a tabard displaying the Arryn Houses banner. At his side is a longsword with a pommel fashioned into a falcon. On his head sits a helmet that almost looks like a crown, fashioned in the shape of a falcon's pointed head. He glances around the Great Hall and announces, "I wish to speak to the Lord of this place."

"Ah, Lord Arryn. I met your father when I was young, a very good man. As to why I broke away. The Targaryens are weak. They didn't intervene in the war. A war that lasted twenty-four years. Thousands of lives wasted by their inability to stop us." he looked at Arryn's guards. "You put your weapons in my armory." his look offered no room for argument.

Gerold nodded, waving his hand for several more guards to enter the room. A little paranoia went a long way. "Agreed. Please forgive our suspicion, but we are seceding from the crown, and twenty armored knights is somewhat of an unsettling sight. If your men could please unbuckle your sword belts, I daresay we might all feel a little more comfortable."

"Because it is profitable. Because it will make him strong. Because he can." Gerold strode into the hall. "No wine, thank you. Arbor Gold was never my preference." "Because he can? That may be the most juvenile reasoning to secede." He said with a chuckle. "I do hope you do have a more logical reason to anger the Dragons." He noted Lord Arryn entering with all of his guards. Todric came with a host of men and still had the sense to enter the hall unarmed and with only two others. He took a few more sips of wine as he waited for a response.
