Damon nodded to his guards, and they unhooked their scabbards, holding them out. He gestured to the entrance, and all but three of them left the Hall, sheathed swords still in front. He looked around the Hall, and then directly at the King. "I have little care for the why or the hows. That time is past us. Now we must concern ourselves with the present, and future." He removed the helmet, "I am here to discuss the terms for my aid in this rebellion."

"Tis not a rebellion, but a revolution! We have been walked upon for too long, my lord Arryn. The time to rise up is now!" he stood. "We need your knights and ships my lord. We need the wealth of the Vale. Without you the revolution will fail. Please, join us."

Tyrell's words sound quite convincing. His manner is very royal indeed.

"And you will have them! You will have my troops, and me personally leading them. In return, I ask a hefty sum. The Vale becomes an independant kingdom. I grow tired of being oppressed by a king who knows nothing of the Vale's troubles. Of course, our kingsoms will enter into a military alliance." He stopped and looked around the room, waiting for a response.

Lord Tybolt took that moment to enter. He had not dressed for court, though even his more casual garb was still exactingly made in silks and embroidered in thread of gold. He was surprised to see Tully there, and even more surprised to see Lord Arryn. King in the Vale? Tybolt found himself smirking, as he often did. "Good evening, Damon," he said as he walked past him to stand near Lord Hightower. "It seems Highgarden is simply the place to be, these days. If things continue as they have been, the Targaryens will have no kingdom left but the barren North, the rocky coast of the Stormlands, and the Dornish desert. Unless Stark and Martell have come and gone, already, that is."

Gerold frowned. "My Lords, I would like to say a few words." He walked to a higher elevation, and took a deep breath.
"We few, in this very hall, find ourselves in the incredible, unique position, to decide the course of history, and what will happen to this land of Westeros. Not all of us chose to do this. Many of us were forced into lordship because of circumstance and birth." He nodded towards Tyrell. "Or talked, fought, strove their way to incredible power." He decided not to look at Arryn or Lannister. "Whichever ways we came onto our paths, it does not matter, for here we stand, at the crossroads."
Gerold looked at all of them, one by one, in the eye. "What we have is a privilege, but it is also a responsibility. Thousands, if not millions of lives hang in the balance of the words we will speak here, today. I only ask you to keep their interests at heart, and the consequences of your actions. To Act not merely for your own selfish interests, but for the true, good of the realm as well." He sat down.

So Lannister is already with Tyrell, and Arryn just joined in. Todric continued to drink his wine as the other lords spoke. He laughed at Hightowers speech.
"Live hang in the balance because Tyrell decided to rebel. If you were truly thinking about the thousands of lives than we would still be in Kings Landing speaking about peace."
Todric signaled to Lorch and Vance before moving to leave the hall.
"It seems you have enough Lords to back you Tyrell, and I do wish you well in this endeavor, but I will have no part in this as of now."
He placed his wine glass on a small table after finishing it.
"And thank you for the wine."

"Think of it as Tyrell choosing to make his own peace, Tully," Lannister said as the Lord of Riverrun turned to leave. "The strong do not wait for peace; they take it!" He laughed.
"Surely you won't let him just walk out, your Grace?" He said, watching Tully and his men retreating. His hand was on the hilt of his ubiquitous sword, playing over the lion's head on the pommel.

"I don't see why he would not, Lannister. I have made my decision." Todric said giving Tybolt a smile. "There is still a chance I will join you, great King Leobald, but for now you must let me think on this. I will send a rider with my decision within a year."

Tyrell can definitely see the good in letting Tully go unmolested.
(hope you're okay with me doing rolls...)

For Persuasion/Intimidation rolls, doesn't the target get to make an opposing roll? So wouldn't Tyrell get the chance to roll against him to keep his choice? And then aren't there circumstantial negative modifiers for persuading people to make very stupid decisions? Like you can't just say: Lord Arryn, you are a banana, and not get at least a minus 10 to the check? I'm not entirely sure about the rules, but that's how it works in a lot of other ASOIAFRPs.

He shifted his weight. "Lord Tully, let's not be hasty. Will you please come to my solar to discuss these matters. We have a very fine vintage from the Arbor." He turned to his own lords. "I ask you all to accompany me. It is, shall we say, more private in my solar."

Gerold nodded. "This hall is full of unseen eyes." He moved to follow Tyrell.

Todric sighed, it was times like these that even he knew he had a problem with drinking. "Alright Tyrell." Todric went to follow Hightower and Tyrell. He had Lord Vance ready the host for departure, since he did not expect the talks to last much longer. Jory Lorch stayed by his side though.
