In general, that's the Hightower's traditional strategy in war. Very similar to the Lannisters in Robert's Rebellion. We only join the fight when victory seems certain for one side, and we have enough money and troops to be able to do that.

Yes, in a sense, except I'm a lot richer in both gold and men than the Frey, and control the center of knowledge and learning in Westeros! And I also don't have 17 wives and 59 children.

If House Tyrell may be lord paramount but without house Hightower then their military force is really only boiled down to knights. Al ot of the reaches "Umph" comes from Oldtown, just like how the Redwyne fleet of the arbor holds much of their naval might. I would suggest to keep theses houses on friendly terms because House Hightower may not have the support but they have the might to over though House Tyrell. So Think on that before tossing out empty threats!  |
