Trajan wanders the halls of the Red Keep as he usually did to clear his mind. Two knights of the Kingsguard accompany him like white shadows.

Princess Lavinia turned a corner and spotted the king, curtsying deeply. Today she wore an orange dress of silk in the Lysene style, her corset pushing her breasts out but the rest of her body fairly well covered. Her hair hung in thin ringlets and she wore thick bronze powder on her face, silver on her lips and around her eyes. Two silver snake earrings adorned her ears.
"Your Grace," She said, looking up at Trajan with her big blue eyes.

Trajan stopped, shaken from his thoughts, the two white knights halting in unison.
"Princess Lavinia" he said graciously "I had been wondering where Prince Martell was hiding his famed sister."

"Nowhere, your grace," Lavinia said with a pleasant smile. "I haven't even been able to find my esteemed brother in these vast halls..." She gave a lost look. "What's a young princess to do?"

"Well it would be unchivalrous to leave a young noblewoman unescorted." he replied lightly, aware of the irony that he was no knight.

"How awfully kind of you," Lavinia replied, a small giggle escaping her. "To be escorted by none other than the ruler of all Westeros; you have my heart beating!"

"Even a ruler is still just a man." he replied with a grin, deciding to drop the royal we when not holding court. "I cannot expect my lords to remain civil if I am not."

"Or you could kill those who dare oppose you," Lavinia suggested with a girlish laugh, taking an un-offered arm. "Rulership through fear!"

"Every tactic has its place." Trajan replied, arching an eyebrow in surprise at the girl's brutal suggestion. "So I hear it said you may be the only person in this court as well travelled as myself."

"Possibly even better traveled," Lavinia teased, showing Trajan a bright smirk. "And I was only half serious about that killing thing, though fear is a strong tactic. Not that I would know how to use it!"

"No, women have other tools at their disposal." he noted with an appreciative glance. "Where did you like best in your travels?"

Lavinia batted her lashes and happened to lean forward for just a moment to enhance Trajan's view. "Possibly Lys, though I enjoyed seeing some of the other Free Cities as well. Braavos has a charm of course. And you?"

"The ruins of Valyria were of great interest for obvious reasons." Trajan answered, clearing his throat. "Though I learned the most in Asshai. Did you learn much on your journey or were you simply there for pleasure?"

Lavinia purred a laugh. "A lot can be learned from pleasures, Trajan. You just have to know what things to listen to."

''And what is it you have heard, Lavinia?" he asked, examining her with his violet eyes as they walked the halls arm in arm. The first-name familiarity did not seem to bother him.
