Near the top of The Hightower, The Solar of The Coldeye is modest, having only a small feather bed and several paper-cluttered desks, as well as a library with several books. A balcony looks out onto the beautiful view of Oldtown and the sea. Deeper within the room, past another thick locked door is an empty circular chamber with a stone floor and no windows or objects within it, save a few torches on brackets in the walls.

Gerold sat wearily in his room, awaiting Maester Falthwyn's presence. He sighed, flipping through some of his older notes. Two years since I made peace, and he's still the only man of learning here that I can trust.

The Old Maester makes his way up the Hightower, each trip seems to take a lot out of the older man.

Gerold spoke to the closed door, putting his notes away into a secure cabinet. "Maester, come in. There's business to go over."

"Yes lord Hightower." The Maester enters and shuts the door. "What do you want to discuss?"

Gerold turned to face the elderly man. "Politics. There are peace talks happening in the near future, and I need to get in closer with some of the major lords. Lannister and Stark are the first two I want you to send ravens too, but Baratheon and Tully are also important. Offer my sincerest of hellos to them, and my greatest of desires to be in contact with them, and for peace. You know these lords, and how to write enticing words. I entrust this task to you to complete."

"From my understanding my Lord Gerold, Lord Wilhelm Stark and Lady Lorraine Tully are to be married soon, perhaps you could send a letter sending congratulations and perhaps they will invite you over." He said softly.

"I don't have time for weddings on the other side of the world, Falthwyn. Just send the letters. If anything of importance happens, please inform me. You are dismissed."

"Ser a Raven did arrive from Highgarden, Lord Tyrell requires your attention."

"In what form, precisely. What were the exact words?" Gerold stood up and began to pace.

"Their Maester has said they wished for you in person to arrive at Highgarden for a personal meeting with lord Tyrell." He says.

"Tyrell dislikes me and thinks me a traitor. The man might end up attempting to arrest me if I show up." Gerold pondered. "I'll take the risk, but not alone. I need a retinue of my fifty most skilled and loyal men to go along with me. We leave at dawn tomorrow for Highgarden. I need to prevent war at any cost."

The master nods. "I shall send the response letter, shall I call for anyone else to come to your Solar?" He asks.

"No, that won't be necessary. Send the letter. I''ll be at Highgarden in a few days." He turned back wearily to his notes.
