There are tree types of fights.
1) Training fights
2) Duels
3) Battles
Training fights are just if you want to fight someone, it doesn't improve skills but does advance in rp. You can not die in Training fights.
Duels are to knockout or too the death, you can raise skills this way. Tournaments, Jousts and Dead duels count as duels. As stated you can die in duels. These can continue to knockout or death if desired.
Battles are armies vs armies. This uses leadership and battle skills. This means armies can die off, get captured, and run away. For battles, the skills in Ambush, Siege, Fortification not just Battle Command depending if you have time to roll and time to build siege or fortifications a small bonus will be added to your Battle Command score depending on what you build, how many, if they are built right and how long you build them
There will be some Tournament bonuses, I am going to allow Horsemanship, and depending on your level, give you a bonus to the joust. Also if your lucky enough to score a ladies favour that will add a small bonus to the roll.
The Following are the skills and the roll bonuses.
Legendary 110+
Grandmaster 100+
Master 90+
Expert 80+
Noteworthy 70+
Apprentice 60+
Novice 50+
Beginner 40+
When dueling with real steel and tournament swords.
A Change of skill of 20 (ex. 100 - 120) Light Hit or Small wound (-10) to roll
A Change of skill of 35 (ex. 100 - 135) Medium hit or Large wound (-15) to roll
A Change of skill of 50 (ex. 100 - 150) Heavy hit or Deep wound (-30) to roll
A Change of skill of 60 (ex. 100 - 160) Knockout or Permanent Wound.
A Change of skill of 80 or natural 100 (ex. 100 - 180) Death. (Omit in practice duels)
When with Tourney Blades or Dull Steel, the same rules apply but the changes to skill are halved. So the (-10) for a Light hit would be (-5) with tourney blades.
