"They're well, of course. I fed them not an hour ago." She turned her head so their lips met. "So you have called them, your bannermen...but for what purpose?"

Wyman walked into the great hall. "My lord, my lady. I came as soon as I heard. I brought 50 men with me for now but the strength of White Harbor can muster if need be. I have 5000 men ready and we are just finishing the new warships."

"Welcome, Lord Wyman, to Winterfell." Lorraine licked her lips. So the north was marching to battle...but against whom? "Warships, and 5000 men?" Her gaze slid back to her husband, questioningly.

Betheny Stark enters but stops, her hair is out and she is wearing hunting leathers, she had not heard of this meeting so remains silent watching the men talk.

"Wyman good, while I do not know why you have raised troops yet, I will like to tell you both, That as a nation the North has no reason to be in this war. Witchcraft seems to be in place and I do not like it. So by the end of the day. The North will be its own nation. And you my Lorraine, will be Queen."

Queen Lorraine found herself smiling. "So it will be the Roses in the south and the Dragons in the east and the Wolves in the north...what of the the other Lords Paramount?" she asked, thinking of her brother in the Riverlands. "Will we be the seven kingdoms again?"

"I do not know, nor do I care. We in the north have always fared by ourselfs...should they join with us....then be that as it may, should they attack us then they will feel the wrath of the Starks." He puts an arm around his Queen. "A King in the North..."

"My lord if I may. Breaking off would not be the best option for us. Robert Baratheon won because of one thing, the Targaryans didn't have their dragons then. Aegon conquered every kingdom with a handful of men and 3 dragons. Even if every kingdom rebelled against the crown thousands of men would die and in all probability we would lose. You know I would follow you as King in the North and fight your enemies, but I would advise you against this action."

"We are not fighting against them. We are abstaining from the Kingdom. They are in a war, we are not. If they wish to invade us. They would split their forces in half and loose on both fronts." He says looking to Lorraine. "The north has always made their way on their own."

"I will be preparing the construction of a new castle at base of the neck." He looks to them all. "I want you to patrol our side of the seas and keep a close watch on white harbor if we are to act we will not make the first move and we will be ready." He looks to him. "Was there anything you wished to ask me?"

Lorraine nodded slowly, agreeing with him. To be removed from the kingdoms and to live an idyllic life among the snow and the weirwoods...that was something she would never say no to. But war would likely be imminent. "Perhaps you should write to my brother at Riverrun," she said, resting her hand on his arm. "He would probably support you, and maybe even aid you at the Neck. The Freys, too, might be good to speak with. Perhaps even Arryn. But my brother first of all."
